Board of Directors

Dakota Area Community School, as a public charter school, is overseen by a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors is comprised of seven individuals with the goal of making sure the school is staying true to its vision, mission, and priorities.

Board Function

The Board of Directors oversees all aspects, policy creation, committees, staffing, curricular scope and sequence, additional programming and fiscal operations of the school. The Board of Directors submits an annual report, annual audit, as well as other information necessary to fullfill its requirements to the State of Minnesota and our sponsor Minnesota Department of Education. The Board of Directors holds their summer meetings on the 2nd Monday of every month unless otherwise posted. Meetings are at 4:30 p.m. and are held in the staff work room at the school. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend all of the open meetings.
